#58: Today marks the first white Christmas in Atlanta since 1882. I wasn't living in Atlanta at the time, but then again, I wasn't living at the time.

#57: At the rate Anya is growing older, she'll never catch up to me in terms of age.

Thursday, December 23, 2010

#56: I think that "starting my fourth decade" sounds older than "I'm no longer in my 20's."

Sunday, December 19, 2010

#55: You know it's cold in Georgia when your wedding ring keeps slipping off your finger.

Friday, December 17, 2010

#54: Is there any real fundamental difference between "Partly Cloudy" and "Mostly Sunny"?

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

#53: I think Disney World is allowed to prosper for at least the one reason that it is a very effective tool to teach patience to all of God's children... Never have I seen so many children, with so many parents, so frustrated with waiting in lines, for so long, trying to be so happy...

#52: Have you ever had the "email odometer" experience? It's where you have 1999 emails in your inbox and you sit in front of your computer until someone sends you one more email and you reach 2000 emails (or a different large round number). I had to wait 5 minutes for the 3999 to 4000 change the other day...

#51: Any diaper change falling in the "10-wipes-or-greater" category is a bad one.

Deep Thought #50

I just startered Ender's Game with 250 more pages until I'm finishered.

If you've been to China, you probably know something.

Deep Thought #48

Food is pretty good for a lot of things, but especially for eating.

Deep Thought #47

Have you ever been tempted to tell someone that Halloween was last week, but you caught yourself because that's the way he or she dresses everyday?

Deep Thought #46

I never met a man who sleeps in a pylon until this year.

Deep Thought #45

I can't decide if I struggle to respect smokers because a few (or many of them) throw their cigarette butts on the ground or for something else...

"You stupid cow!" - Devonna

Deep Thought #39

I wonder if anyone has correlated the obesity of pigeons with how much people litter in major cities. I think they would find that Atlanta has some fat pigeons.

Deep Thought #38

Someone should really tell Sebastian that sound just doesn't travel as well under the sea. Perhaps that's why Ariel wants to be a human... to hear something other than his semi-mute and likely muffled "crustacean band."

(Oh yah, and some of those instruments... I don't think so.)

Deep Thought #37

I think the Little Mermaid caused the recession. Why? Well, the propaganda of her singing the phrases:

"I've got twenty!
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more"

...has been simmering in the minds of young people since 1989, just long enough for us to feel we are entitled to everything (and more!)...

Deep Thought #36

Super Why has the most capable smartphone I've seen so far.

Deep Thought #35

I prefer the gratuitous violence of the Road Runner cartoon over the language of some of the characters in Clifford the Big Red Dog. At least the former cartoon is over the top...

Deep Thought #34

I think obese people have to very comfortable with people in their immediate space, since I was forced to be LITERALLY RIGHT BESIDE a certain man when he sat down beside me on the train. In fact, I suppose using the word "space" is incorrect to any degree in this case.

Deep Thought #33

You know you're dieting when you think you're cheating with an extra squeeze from the salad dressing bottle...

Deep Thought #31

Have you ever noticed that saying "Yes" or "No" to the question "Mind if I sit here?" is giving permission regardless? Or is it just me?

Friday, August 27, 2010

Deep Thought #30

All in all, having only one student walk out, yell, and hit one of my teachers at the computer class I was facilitating is still a pretty good success rate. There were seven students. All over the age of 65...

Deep Thought #29

The Marta train broke down and I was waiting for half an hour while I was reading Atlas Shrugged...

Deep Thought #28

There is nothing more powerful to unite random strangers on a Marta train against one passenger than having that one passenger start smoking in an unventilated train car...

Deep Thought #27

I was shewed (like a fly) across the crosswalk while I had the right-of-way. That was new... and disrespectful I suppose...

Deep Thought #26

Correct me if I'm wrong, but two side by side lanes being allowed to both turn left and right at the same time is dangerous. (Yah, lady!)

Deep Thought #25

If I had a penny for every time I was in a traffic jam, I think I'd have about $4.50.

Deep Thought #24

Confession: I really struggle giving money to a homeless man who dresses better than I do.

Monday, July 26, 2010

Deep Thought #23

On the radio I heard this: "Wow, what an unfreaking believable deal this is!..."

What do you think? Subtle wit or blatant stupidity?

Deep Thought #22

If you're not here... you're still awesome... :)

Deep Thought #21

I went to BP to fill my car up with gas at midnight because I didn't want to get knifed...

Do you say "owl" with one syllable, two syllables, or 1.5 syllables?

Deep Thought #19

This is the most useful research finding I've come across in recent weeks: An octopus prefers HDTV over regular TV.

Deep Thought #18

If you listen to the lyrics and do the math, the Beast was actually only 11 years old when the haggard old lady offers him a rose at the beginning of the movie.

It's really not fair to curse a little boy for not wanting to be philanthropic. Sure, he was spoiled, but probably frightened at the time and really wanted her to leave. Lastly, what 11 year old boy wants a single rose?

Deep Thought #17

Of all the Disney characters that fall to their deaths, I think Gaston has the best chance of living through it - after all, he is "roughly the size of a barge." I think it would be neat to see a sequel where it tells the story of his survival and his crawling back to the village with a broken back, all while developing the virtues of respect towards others and humility...

Deep Thought #16

Does Gaston do P90X...?

Deep Thought #15

It would bother me if I lost my shoes as often as Cinderella does. I counted three times in her self-titled movie. "Hey, get some laces already!"

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Deep Thought #14

You know, Beauty and the Beast would have ended a lot differently if Gaston shot the Beast with his shot gun and not with his bow and arrow...

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Deep Thought #13

Since Gaston can juggle five eggs, I think Belle should at least think about reconsidering a life with him...

Deep Thought #12

A Publix employee offered to carry my three grocery bags to my car. It was the first time in my whole life. So after about 80 times shopping there (I checked my expenses record), I finally felt like a customer. I guess they were profiling me all these times...and they were right, because I said "No thank you." like I was insulted.

Deep Thought #11

I'm so happy for Tony Dovolani! I've only seen him dance twice but I know he's back to enjoying life again! Oh, the relief it must be!

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Deep Thought #10

Why doesn't Cinderella employ her bird and mouse friends to do ALL her chores? After all, she has them make her bed, shine her shoes, and let's them do some sewing. Why not try extending their tasks to washing dishes and laundry?

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Deep Thought #9

Well, I picked Duke to go all the way and so I ended up winning my March Madness bracket competition. (But I'll never say how many bracket groups I had to join. However, I can say it's greater than four and less than six.)

Deep Thought #8

If you are a mermaid (or a merman) and you become a human, is it an unwritten rule that you can never eat seafood again?

Monday, April 5, 2010

Deep Thought #7

Ahhh, the wonderful sights of spring... The time of year when all my homeless friends leave their homes again for six months and live in the park beside my school...

You know you're in the wrong neighborhood when you see pirates riding around on unicycles in the middle of March...

Deep Thought #5

I have positively reinforced myself into an interesting habit of coughing anytime I see someone smoke. I have realized it is my way of audibly telling them that they are killing all of us slowly.

Deep Thought #4

Most recently, my favorite feature on my car has become the horn. Still, I wish there were at least two levels of car horns in my car. One for "You are a terrible driver!" and the other for "You are really a terrible driver!"

You know I'm shopping at a ritzy Walmart when my parking spot was right beside a lamborghini.
